Brussels chicory or chicon as they say in the north, a vegetable that may have a bad reputation with us humans, but wreaks havoc with our rodent and herbivore friends! Largely underestimated, it can be eaten raw, cooked, candied, whole, mashed, baked, casserole, rolled up and now worn on a blouse! The latter having a slim fit and being mostly white, is just as versatile as the plant: in summer with the collar buttons open, a long white skirt and loafers or when it's cold the collar covered with a trench coat and tailored pants.
